A Guide to Jupiter’s Local Beaches  

Jupiter is known for its warm and stunning aquamarine waters and is home to about 3.5 miles of gorgeous soft sand beaches! There are so many things to love about Jupiter’s beaches, but one is that access to the public beaches is completely FREE. On any given day you can find bright beach umbrellas and sun-lovers lounging at the water’s edge, or in the Atlantic boating, swimming, kite surfing, and enjoying other water sports. Each location listed below has a slightly different atmosphere, but whatever vibe you are looking for, there is a Jupiter beach access waiting for you to enjoy.  

Pierless Beach 

Also known as a no-name beach, pierless is less known by those who frequently visit the local beaches. Because it’s not so obvious to find this access, it is quieter and more secluded than the other beach parks. There is no lifeguard on duty because of the small amount of foot traffic but there is a public shower and gazebo available to use. This location was originally home to the old Juno Beach Pier before it was unfortunately destroyed by a storm back in 1984!

Loggerhead Park 

The incredible hospital team and volunteers at Loggerhead Marine Life Center treat and rehabilitate nearly 100 sea turtles and over 1,000 hatchlings at their ocean-side sanctuary annually! Visitors can take a look inside to see the many pools of injured turtles and aquariums of saltwater fish. After parking at the marine center, patrons can use the tunnel that goes underneath the road to get down to the beach safely. Turtle nests can be found all down the beach and they are usually marked with a wooden stick and caution tape to deter visitors from stepping on the fragile eggs. Juno Beach Park 

The pier is one of Jupiter’s more popular beaches and once here, you’ll understand why! Vacationers and locals alike come to visit the 990-foot pier to go fishing or grab ice cream from the bait shop. It’s normal for groups to gather in the mornings to enjoy the sunrise, meditate, walk, and even do yoga. The pier’s parking is within walking distance to the nearby Bluff’s Square shopping center with places to eat and shop. Learn more here >

Ocean Cay Park 

While Ocean Cay has a large amount of parking, the lot is known to fill up fast on weekends. This spot makes a great family beach day, offering acres of soft green grass and multiple pavilions equipped with grills. This park is most known for its beach volleyball courts that groups frequently use to play. It’s also near a grocery store, surf shop, ice cream store, restaurants, and other shops, should you need anything for the day! Jupiter Beach Access Mile Markers  

The largest stretch of Jupiter’s coastline is made up of multiple beach accesses leading down to the beach. All of these spots are dog friendly however, there are no lifeguards. On the weekends these parallel parking spots fill up fast, so it’s better to get there early in the day to save your spot!

Carlin Park 

Carlin Park offers an array of activities besides the regular pavilions, grills, and restrooms. Patrons can enjoy the playground, a biking trail, and an exercise running course, or they can play bocce ball, sand volleyball, and tennis! Many choose Carlin as the perfect location to have a party because of all the amenities. The water is guarded making this beach a great place to bring the family. Rent a pavilion here. >

DuBois Park 

The lagoons at DuBois make for the perfect family beach day and are incredibly rare and beautiful. Both lagoons are known for the calm swimming water in a lifeguarded area, which makes it perfect for families with small children. There are many shaded picnic tables and grills to use as well as public bathrooms and showers. After lunch, take a walk down by the inlet and enjoy the views of the Jupiter lighthouse. Learn more on the park website. >

Jupiter Beach Park 

Separated by a jetty, Jupiter Beach Park is located right next to the Jupiter Inlet. It’s normal to see people out on the jetty fishing or swimming in the guarded areas down at the beach. This park and Dubois are in the same area, so it would be easy to visit both parks in one trip. For more information, click here. >

Intercostal Waterway Access 

One of the most popular places to paddleboard in Jupiter is down the gorgeous intercostal. The flat and crystal-clear waters draw boaters and other watercraft to set sail down the intercostal. Most weekends, you can find families sitting in beach chairs in the shallow waters and enjoying the shade from the mangrove trees that line the coast. But get there early if you want a spot!

Coral Cove Park 

Over Kato’s bridge and across from the intercostal access lies Coral Cove. While quieter than some of the other beaches, coral cove is a great place to see rock formations peeking out of the water. Snorkeling in the lifeguarded area, these rocks make for great sightseeing including tropical fish, sea turtles, and different kinds of coral. Look, but don’t touch! Learn more by clicking here. >

Keeping the beaches we know and love beautiful takes a lot of work from outside forces. The Friends of Jupiter Beach nonprofit organization works to have 12 beach cleanups a year taking place on the first Saturday of each month. On average, the volunteers remove 490 pounds of garbage at each monthly cleanup. Their goal is to remind beach visitors to help keep the beach clean and dog friendly for decades to come. 

 

The town of Jupiter is proud to call itself a dog-friendly area. In 1989, Jupiter’s Town Council adopted a policy to allow dogs on our beaches. Since then, dogs have been invited to enjoy the 2.5-mile stretch between Ocean Cay and Carlin Park. The Friends of Jupiter Beach placed 29 dog waste bag stations to help owners clean up after their dogs. Additionally, many of the accesses have water fountains and showers to wash your pup off after playing. Papa Kwan’s Café is located in Juno Beach and is a great spot to bring your dog after a hot beach day. They offer lots of snacks for humans and will treat your pet as well. Jupiter is the perfect beach town to bring your furry friend for a visit!
